Monte Carlo Indy 500 Pace Car

Chevrolet's Special Vehicles Department, led by Jon Moss, developed thenew Monte Carlo pace car based on the 2000 model year production car. The pace car is astock Monte Carlo with a few modifications (e.g., increased engine cooling, air inductionand horsepower, and a lowered suspension) that enable it to perform its pace car duties inthe harsh environment of professional racing.
